Get The Look: Hipster Blair Edition (MSD)

It's been aaaaages since I last made a GTL post. Gah! I'm sorry. Please accept my offering of a hipster Blair as an apology?

1. Beanie: thrifted
5. Brown top: BB YOSD Clothes from Endless, $35
6. Grey long-sleeved shirt: Part of the Unoa Thankful set from Foxybrowny, $34 (whole set)
8. Brown lace-up boots: custom-made locally by kanipan

I was getting bored of Blair's usual cutesy mori girl look, so I raided her box of clothes and put together this ensemble. Didn't think hobo-hipster chic would suit her lol! I love it on her now, despite how different she looks form her usual self. ^^

And now I want to get her more pants/leggings. :\

Get the Look: January Warmth (MSD)

Recently, I've been blabbering to my friends about Blair's style evolution. I've begun to take a liking in dressing her in more casual clothes. They're still quite mori actually, because of the vintage and flower motifs in most of her apparel, but I think she won't be dressing strictly in mori kei from now on. ^u^

1. Beanie: gifted by Madz of Dear Resin
3. Bell Necklace: gifted by Madz of Dear Resin
4. Green Jacket: custom-made locally by kanipan
5. Grey long-sleeved shirt: Part of the Unoa Thankful set from Foxybrowny, $34 (whole set)
7. Black leggings: handsewn by me

This ensemble was inspired by Steffy Kuncman's outfit post on Lookbook.nu that I saw last week:

Get the Look: Chocolate Almond Truffles (SD)

Here's a cool coordinate for SD boys that reminds me of chocolate truffles. Haha, who would have thought that layering jackets would look chic? I guess it depends on the person wearing it. Ah well, I'm pretty sure your doll can carry the look. ;)

I should do looks for guys more often. It's a lot easier! XD

Get the Look: Valentine Macaron (MSD)

It's cliché, but nothing says Valentine's like pink, flowers and sweets. Here's a charming coordinate for your doll inspired by the season. Happy Valentine's Day! ♥

Hair ribbon: Lace-020 from Leeke World, $1.80

Get the Look: Spring Parfait (MSD)

Summer is about to end over here in the Philippines, but the rainy season doesn't always bring an end to the heat when you live in a tropical country. Hello humidity!

Having a parfait is a nice way to cool down during this season. It's not too cold unlike a sundae, but it's still refreshing. This coordinate reminds me of a parfait. It will keep you covered enough when it rains, but it's still quite breezy. And though in reality dolls don't feel the change in weather, we like to pretend that they do anyway, right? ;)

3. Floral Jacket & Tiered Dress: Unoa Sakura Set from Foxybrowny, $40
5. Shoes: KDS-27 (Milk) from LUTS, $35

Get the Look: Strawberry Chocolate Tiramisu (MSD)

I've been really into neutrals and earth tones recently. It makes outfits look laid-back, comfy and effortless. But it can look quite boring, so adding a pop of color would certainly bring an outfit to life!

This outfit from Sechuna is a very cute example. I couldn't resist trying to recreate this for dolls!

Get the Look: Raspberry Vanilla Cupcake (MSD)

One of my favorite things in the BJD hobby is shopping for clothes and accessories. Sometimes, I see a great outfit on a real person or a pretty color palette from a photo, I get inspired to achieve the look and style of it.

Since I like to go window shopping for dolly items (a frustrating but enjoyable venture) during my free time, I thought it would be cool to do a regular "Get the Look" post on this blog.

So, without further adieu, here is the first look!

If you can find better alternatives to the items I found, share them in the comments. :)

Get the Look: Lavender Mocha Cupcake (MSD)

I don't normally like lavender and brown together, but this sweet coordinate is an exception. It actually looks quite refreshing, just like how I imagine a lavender mocha cupcake would taste like!

Get the Look: Amaretto Latte (SD)

Here's a cute coordinate for the bigger girl dolls. It's sweet, but with a kick of spunk. Just like a latte!

3. Crochet/Lace Collar: Lace Cape from Nine9Style, $7

This week has been quite crazy for me at work, so please forgive me for cheating on this week's Get the Look. I found this cozy coordinate and it instantly saw its similarity with a lot of Nine9Style pieces! Too bad I didn't find the right wig from them, so I had to go with one from LUTS instead.

Hope you guys like it! ^^

Get the Look: American Horror Story (SD)

I am crazy obsessed with American Horror Story: Coven right now. It's so weird, gross and crazy in a really good way. XD Other than the awesome witchy goodness, what draws me even more to the show is the fashion the actresses sport!

So here's my take on the show's modern gothic glamor, tailored specially for SD girls. Wearing an all-black ensemble has never looked so bewitching. ;)

1. Wid-brimmed Hat: Black Jazz Hat from Tata's Paradise, $20
4. Cross Necklace: Cross Necklace from Tata's Paradise, $8
6. Asymmetrical Dress: One Piece Dress from SWDoll, $21.50
7. High-heeled Ankle Boots: Shoe Model LS-131_G from Leekeworld, $47

Get the Look: The Kim Jaejoong Edition (SD)

2. Cardigan: Blue Cardigan from SWdoll, $21
4. Necktie: Necktie from Tata's Paradise, $3.50
6. Watch: Fashion Watch from Sadol, $13.33
8. Pants: Casual Trousers from SWdoll, $19.50
9. Shoes: Brogues from SWdoll, $25.48

Out of all my Kpop biases, the most fashionable one has to be JYJ's Kim Jaejoong. The man can dress in a sack and still look good. Thankfully, that hasn't happened since he is always dressed nicely. I am partial to his more laid-back looks though, like the one pictured below. ^u^

The breakdown of the outfits for our dear resin men can be found at the end of the post.
Hope you guys find this useful!

Get the Look: Beastly God (SD)

Today is the birthday of my biggest Kpop bias, Son Dongwoon of BEAST! I have been wanting to have a reason to post this flawless being on my blog, but I never had one until now. I've always loved this photo shoot of his, and I thought it would make a nice inspiration for a Get that Look post. It's simple, but quite trendy and stylish. Hope you and your resin boys like it!

Photos from BEAST's Mastermind photo album

1. Wig: Model N904LL (mild choco brown) from Nine9Style, $24 (just pin it back)
OR Model W103_E (BabyBrown) from Leeke World, $27

Cheaper alternative: Peacock Tee from Iplehouse, $17
